SOUNDBATH + TEA w/Caleb Flood (he/they) — Sunday February 25th at 6:30pm
$22, $33, $44 sliding scale

In this soundbath, we will begin with a full hour of sound to prepare us for meditation. During this time you will hear a diverse array of sounds that are intended to relax you and move the subtle energies in the space. Some people will find certain sounds to be very soothing or beautiful, while others may find the same sounds challenging. This is normal, and part of what makes each of us a unique formation of being. The goal of this work is to bring our attention inside, allowing the presence of felt experience to exist without judgment.

After the sound bath, sage tea will be served, and we will sit in meditation with our tea for 30 minutes. The sound and tea are helpers for this work, and can assist us in deepening our concentration and surrender.

Sage is a plant in the mint family, known for its soothing effects on the nervous system. It can decrease inflammation and help concentration and memory. For this reason, it can be a helpful tea in meditation. This particular sage tea is from Crete, where it has been honored as a healing herb for many years.

**If you have issues with hypoglycemia, please note that sage can lower your blood sugar.

Soundbaths are offered both in-person in Richmond VA and virtually on Zoom. We have space for a limited number of people in person and plenty of spots online! If you would like to be in person and we appear sold out, please contact us.

About Caleb (he/they)

Using traditional and modern instruments, Caleb creates soundscapes to facilitate inner work and relaxation. He has been playing and performing music since 2004, and his relationship to sound as a tool for energetic work has evolved from this history. As the journey into his own inner world has become more intentional, Caleb’s relationship to sound has become increasingly focused on devotion and surrender. With formal backgrounds in percussion and sculpture, Caleb brings a physical awareness of sound to his sessions, and focuses on the presence of the felt experience.
