Buffalo Firefly is a Crystal Tones® Partner located in Richmond, VA. We have a retail showroom that you may visit by appointment, in-person or over Zoom. Our team is made up of full-time energy healing practitioners and lifelong musicians. We have one of the largest online inventories of Crystal Tones® Alchemy Crystal Singing Bowls® in the US and are one of the few shops found in the mid-Atlantic and the East Coast. We ship all over the world. If you are in the US and you spend more than $5000 on bowls, your shipping will be free. International shipping does not include VAT or customs charges, so keep that in mind when you are planning.
We are committed to making sure you adopt instruments that play well together. If you already have sound healing instruments or crystal singing bowls, we consult with you so that your purchases from us are in the same tuning when possible, so they will play harmoniously together.

About Crystal Tones® Alchemy Crystal Singing Bowls®
What are Alchemy Crystal Singing Bowls®?
Sound healing with Crystal Tones® Alchemy Crystal Singing Bowls® is a unique and memorable experience. The tones are incredibly pure and powerful.
These bowls are smaller and lighter than the more conventional frosted white crystal singing bowls you might see on the market. They are composed of 99.995% pure quartz crystal and are infused with alchemies that include precious gemstones, metals, and minerals. Crystal Tones® patented fusion technology allows them to meld these elements together to enhance their inherent energetic properties and adds an additional beauty and unique artistry like no other crystal singing bowls.
Components of an Alchemy Crystal Singing Bowl®
The name of the bowl will always include:
- Size
- Note
- Cents

Alchemy
For example, let’s look at a 7" F+20 Morganite, Platinum Bowl.
Size
The first number is the diameter of the bowl in inches. Generally, the larger the diameter of the bowl, the deeper/lower the note will be. Bowls that are 4”, 5”, 6”, or 7” will play notes in a higher range/octave. Bowls that are 7”, 8” or 9” will play notes in a middle range/octave. Bowls that are 9”, 10”, 11”, or 12” will play notes in a lower range/octave. The frequency/note of each bowl is only determined after it is created, so the size is not necessarily a definitive way to know what range/octave the note will be in.
In our example, the bowl is 7” in diameter and plays in the 4th octave (middle-high range).
Note
In standard Western music theory, there are 12 different notes: C, C#, D, D#, E, F, F#, G, G#, A, A#, and B. On a piano, the black keys are the sharps (#): C#, D#, F#, G#, and A#. The white keys are: C, D, E, F, G, A, and B. It is said that the sharp notes (#) correspond to different parts of the endocrine system, and that the seven notes (C to B) correspond to the seven chakras.
In our example, the bowl plays an F note, which is associated with the heart chakra.
Cents
The cent value is the positive (+) or negative (-) value that follows the note in the bowl’s name. Standard tuning is based on a 4th octave A-note tuned to a frequency of 440Hz, also known as “True Tone”. There are 100 cents between every note (ex. A and A#, A# and B, etc.) and the cent value tells you how far from standard tuning the note of the bowl is.
In our example, the bowl is an F+20 cents. This means that this bowl is 20 cents higher in pitch than a True Tone F-note.
Cent value is an important consideration when matching bowls to create a set. We recommend keeping the cent values of bowls in a set within 15 cents of each other (ex. +15 to +30 cents).
Alchemy
Crystal Tones® infuses the Alchemy Crystal Singing Bowls® with different crystals, minerals, and metals. The energy of the alchemies enhances the other qualities of the bowl and adds a uniquely beautiful appearance.
In our example, the bowl is infused with two alchemies: Morganite and Platinum. The Morganite alchemy brings the energy of the love frequency and the Platinum alchemy has a calming, grounding effect.
