Elena Alexis is a multi-modal healing arts practitioner, mindfulness counselor and ceremonialist inspired by a natural affinity for equanimity – for herself, for the individual and the collective. She is a Reiki Master and Sound Healer. Her practice at Buffalo Firefly includes marrying Usui reiki techniques with sound healing frequencies. This intentional combination offers deepened relaxation to the body, softens the mind and rejuvenates the spirit. Her work provides energetic nourishment to stimulate cellular restoration while inviting a sense of calm to the nervous system – ultimately, assisting towards homeostasis within the body for overall well-being. Elena has dedicated the last decade of her life journey to holistic health by way of personal/transpersonal development/healing, restorative care, yogic embodiment practices, immersive circle work, self-study, mentorship, land stewardships and shamanic healing retreats. She has deeply delved into vipassana meditation, herbal medicine, Usui reiki, traditional sound healing, Kemetic yoga, Kundalini yoga, Cha Dao/the way of tea, menstrual education, matrilineal heritage and postpartum awareness.

In reverence to existence, Elena is devout to a personal responsibility of ongoingly restoring her health after surviving a near-fatal accident that ruptured her cervical, thoracic, lumbar, sacral spine and pelvis. Since then, rehabilitation rooted in holistic education and embodied healing practices as a way of life continues to revitalize her being. She alchemically is healing her physical and emotional health with each step forward. Her lived experience and unfathomable testimony illuminates the human capacity to heal.
