Tai Chi & Qigong
Cheri’s offerings
What to expect
Tai Chi (also known as Taiji or Taijiquan) is a specific sequence of slow movements that promote balance, power, and efficiency, with emphasis on structure and internal adjustments. Foundations requires no previous experience; the Intermediate series is for those who’ve taken a beginner’s class or have prior practice.
Qigong exercises gather and circulate qi and blood, regulate the nervous system, and promote relaxation and tranquility. We explore various qigong movement patterns to invigorate the body and generate balance and calm.
Both practices relax the body and mind and nurture internal energy — Tai Chi through a set sequence of slow movements, Qigong through breath practices, gentle strength postures, and flowing movement.
