The Winter Solstice is the shortest day of the year for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere, coinciding with the end of the year and the cold months. This season offers us a time to reflect and turn inwards, to appreciate the experiences and gifts of the past 12 months as well as set intentions for the coming year. Join us to close out 2024 with a restorative soundbath and reiki experience!

During this session, Jess will share Reiki to all participants to promote a deeper sense of relaxation, well-being & healing while Tay creates a restful soundscape using Crystal Tones Alchemy Singing bowls and other instruments. Come join us to release and reflect as we honor the transition into the season ahead! There will be a full hour of sound + reiki, and time to integrate and connect as a group before and after the experience.

Wear comfortable clothes and bring water to hydrate after. If you are attending in-person, everything you need will be provided for you (mats to lie on, blankets, and eye covers). If you are joining us virtually, we recommend using headphones for the best experience.

Events are offered both in-person in Richmond VA and virtually on Zoom. We have space for a limited number of people in person and plenty of spots online! If you would like to be in person and we appear sold out, please contact us.

About Tay 지윤 (they/she)

Tay 지윤 (Jiyoon) is a Sound & Reiki Master Practitioner as well as the Studio Coordinator & Singing Bowl Consultant at Buffalo Firefly. They have been training and performing as a classical pianist and singer since the age of seven and earned their Bachelor of Music in Sound Recording Technology. They are trained as an Usui Ryoho Reiki Master under Mary-Lynne Williams and offer private sessions at Buffalo Firefly. They hope that you are able to find something meaningful and supportive through their offerings.

About Jess (she/her)

Jess Jones is a Level 2 Reiki practitioner based in Richmond, VA, specializing in the Usui Ryoho method. Jess has always been sensitive to subtle energy—a gift she recognized and embraced from a young age. This innate connection to the unseen has shaped her life, guiding her toward a deeper understanding of how energy influences well-being and personal growth.

Jess holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Her studies focused on the power of the unconscious mind and the archetypal nature of our reality. She has a deep appreciation for the interconnectedness of the mind, body, and spirit and approaches her Reiki practice with the belief that healing begins by addressing all aspects of the self. Whether helping someone release stress, find clarity, or connect with their inner energy, Jess is honored to walk alongside her clients on their healing journeys. For her, Reiki is not just a practice—it’s a way of helping others rediscover the harmony and wholeness that already exists within.
