Our Mexican Myrrh Resin Incense is an ethically sourced combination of tree bark and aromatic resin. Enjoy a very sweet aroma as Myrrh is considered to be a cooling scent, similar to frankincense or pine.
Myrrh fortifies the nerves and emotions. It replaces feelings of apathy and weakness with motivation and strength. Burning myrrh is believed to send evil spirits away.

Our Mexican Myrrh Resin Incense is ethically sourced from our vendor Edgar Rodriguez Nava. Edgar is a born Mayan, who works with the medicines of the Mayan culture. He learned from his father, and his father's father. He is also teaching his son the ways of the Mayan medicines. He holds temazcals, and many other types of Mayan ceremonies for the Mexican people. Edgar and his wife, Rosario, earn a living making and selling crafts in the Riviera Maya region of Mexico. His crafts are mostly shamanic tools from his Mayan tradition.

Long before there were sticks and cones, people would add fragrant botanicals to fire to create beautiful smelling smoke to entice their deities or to please themselves. Shamans Market is a labor of love and service. We began our spiritual journey in 1994, learning from wisdom keepers of many earth honoring wisdom traditions, mostly in the Americas. We have traveled extensively in Peru and made many meaningful heart connections with the people of this amazing country.
In 1999, after running out of many of the products we use in our Shamanic practice (and not having a trip to Peru in sight) we decided to import products for our friends and community. We are as excited today as we were then to support the growing shamanic community in the US and globally. Additionally, providing a fair trade outlet for the exquisite artisans and the indigenous people of the Andes, Amazon, Tibet and other countries around the world!
Over the years our offerings have grown. We are pleased to now offer lifestyle products to promote living in harmony with each other and our Earth.
