Additional Product Info

The creator of Shaman 999 Palo Santo Oil is an alchemist, with a deep spiritual connection to the Palo Santo tree. Dante has done as much for the continued propagation of this tree in the Ecuadorian forest as a man can do, working with the government to ensure its continued reforestation for years to come. The positive impact made from the operations which create the oil is a model for sustainability. Not only is this oil eco-friendly, it is fairly traded, supports local economy and has empowered women by providing opportunities not traditionally available to them.

As much as Dante embraces the tree, it seems to hug him back, given his continued good luck in propagating saplings and the creation of stellar products. And the cycle continues with part of the proceeds from this oil being given back to the sustainability of the forest. Long regarded as spiritual oil, Palo Santo oil was used during the time of the Incas for its reputed spiritual purifying properties. In addition this number in used for it metaphysical significance. The number 9 has long been associated in mythology with travel to an underworld for various kinds of realization or purification and then to be raised up to the heavens and reborn.

Our Story

Shamans Market is a labor of love and service. We began our spiritual journey in 1994, learning from wisdom keepers of many earth honoring wisdom traditions, mostly in the Americas. We have traveled extensively in Peru and made many meaningful heart connections with the people of this amazing country.

In 1999, after running out of many of the products we use in our Shamanic practice (and not having a trip to Peru in sight) we decided to import products for our friends and community. We are as excited today as we were then to support the growing shamanic community in the US and globally. Additionally, providing a fair trade outlet for the exquisite artisans and the indigenous people of the Andes, Amazon, Tibet and other countries around the world!

Over the years our offerings have grown. We are pleased to now offer lifestyle products to promote living in harmony with each other and our Earth.
