As we enter a new year and a time of great acceleration and change, cultivating stillness within is one of the most empowering choices we can make. Foundations of Meditation: Establishing Your Practice is a six-week journey for beginners and for those desiring a consistent meditation practice. Through guided exploration, you’ll learn the foundations of meditation and experience how regular practice can bring steadiness, clarity, and resilience to your everyday life. In addition to calming the nervous system, reducing stress and enhancing focus, meditation can also align us to our greater purpose. Each week you will learn about and practice meditation in a supportive and friendly
group, so that you have the understanding and rhythm to sustain a personal meditation
practice.

In this series, you will also discover:
Simple tools to weave mindfulness into everyday activities
Practices to clear the mind and settle the emotions
Short meditations for a busy lifestyle
Restorative practices to ground and reset
How to share meditation with your friends and family comfortable clothes and bring water to hydrate after.

If you are attending in-person, everything you need will be provided for you (mats to lie on, blankets, and eye covers). If you are joining us virtually, we recommend using headphones for the best experience.

Events are offered both in-person in Richmond VA and virtually on Zoom. We have space for a limited number of people in person and plenty of spots online! If you would like to be in person and we appear sold out, please contact us.

Meet Solay- Solay Howell is a certified mindfulness meditation teacher and shamanic practitioner. Her teaching blends esoteric mysticism with trauma-informed mindfulness, offering a gentle and insightful approach to awareness and healing. For over a decade, she has immersed herself in mystery school studies, vipassana meditation, sacred pilgrimage and the art of integrating spirituality into everyday life. She is a graduate of Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield’s Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program (2021) and has taught mindfulness to thousands of students in The Healing Trauma Program, a 9-month training for nervous system regulation.

In addition to teaching, Solay creates learning experiences for world-renowned spiritual teachers including Eckhart Tolle, Tara Brach, Jack Kornfield and many more. Originally from the island of Maui, Solay now resides in Richmond, Virginia, where she continues to share her wisdom and guide others on their spiritual path.
