A Crystal Tones® Alchemy Singing Bowl Set tuned in a perfect fifth, B and F#, at ~A=450 Hz. Designed by our founder Mary-Lynne.

You're at the water's edge of Piazza San Marco. Gondolas are knocking against their posts. Water is lapping against the stone wall. The bell tower sounds from above. You pause. You look up. The sound lands in your chest, and there is only stillness. The Heart of the Open Sky Set is that moment. Heart-opening, warm, and sacred.

This set is a perfect fifth. B and F#. Musicians call this an open fifth, and it's the interval medieval churches built their chants on. The bowl and the pyramid play the very same B: the bowl sings it clean, and the pyramid stacks layers of harmonics on the same note, making it sound like a church bell. The whole set is tuned sharp of modern concert pitch, at about A=450 Hz, leaning into the high church pitch of Renaissance organs.

When I played it back with my eyes closed, I felt the energy in my throat first. From there my heart tingled, and then I felt the back of my neck connect. When the pyramid came in, it felt like I had already been transported to an ancient cathedral bell tower, and the Pala shells came in underneath it all.

The set

• 11" B+40 Green Heart Aura Gold Pyramid (3rd octave). The bell of the set. Heart energy with far more layering and harmonics than a bowl.
• 8" B+45 Aqua Aura Gold (3rd octave). Clear water and open sky.
• 6" F#+40 Zeal Point. The zeal point is a lesser-known chakra at the base of the skull. It's where we receive.
• Meinl Large Pala Shaker. The lapping water of the set.

Together they open a channel: heart, throat, and the back of the neck, connecting you to your divine self.
