Join us in-person on Sunday 12/14 in EM's OG stomping grounds of Brooklyn, in a beautiful, cozy room in Greenpoint at Buffalo Firefly's Sound Sanctuary & Crystal Tones Alchemy Singing Bowl Showroom.
The Sunday Reading w/Bakara (long-time Tarot magician) will be followed by an immersive sound bath led by Mary-Lynne. Combat the Sunday scaries with these immaculate vibes and start your week off right.
A beloved ritual since 2019, Bakara began The Sunday Reading in need of connection and was blessed to find that people showed up and found meaning in this offering. Her comminity's presence gave her the greatest gift: the ability to heal alongside her community.
The Sunday Reading has accompanied her through the end of her Saturn Return, a global quarantine, being a resident of three states and a visitor of several more. She's fallen in love with her coven of supportive souls who come together on Sundays to talk about anything and everything in her subscribers' group chat and gather around the proverbial fire for my favorite hour of the week.
For over four years, thousands of people have watched the Sunday Reading and benefited from the channeled wisdom for the week ahead. We hope to see you there, and that engaging in this practice brings some sparkle to your Sunday and some magic into your everyday.
The reading will be followed by with a sound bath with the STUNNING Crystal Tones® Alchemy Singing Bowls to integrate the energy of the reading.
We have space for a limited number of people in person. If you would like to join and we appear sold out, please contact us to join the waiting list. Wear comfortable clothes and bring water to hydrate after. If you are attending in-person, everything you need will be provided for you (mats to lie on, blankets, and eye covers).
About Bakara, founder of Everyday Magic
I’m Bakara and I started reading Tarot in 2014 after receiving a deck that profoundly + spontaneously altered my course. Within six months, I quit my job at a leading literary agency to be a full time Tarot reader. Almost a decade later, I’ve slung cards at distinctive events around the world, authored a book on the subject, co-created three decks, taught classes and workshops, and am the owner of preeminent metaphysical boutique Everyday Magic.
I’ve been privileged to give thousands of readings to clients from all walks of life, in all manner of circumstances, and deliver them clearly channeled, easily applicable, accurate information through the Tarot, creating maps as unique as the individuals I work with.
If you believe the totality of the human experience can be captured in 78 cards, then there is no stone the Tarot cannot turn. Love and career, family and friends, sickness and health, marriage and divorce, birth and death, children and parents, past and future. Clients come in preparation for ceremony, to supplement their therapeutic practice, during major life events, to break old patterns and create new pathways.
As a former skeptic, I have a soft spot for the newcomers and nihilists, the logic lovers and closet mystics, healers on the cusp of awakening and mothers + creators in search of their magic.
Oftentimes, the wisdom laid out in a reading will accompany the querent for years. I recommend a reading no more than once a season, and that is only if the weather is extreme. More commonly, I will see clients every couple of years, catching them in the liminal space between the completion of an old cycle and the onset of a new one.
About Mary-Lynne, founder of Buffalo Firefly
Mary-Lynne is a retired Tech Industry Design Leader and the founder of Buffalo Firefly. She lived in NYC from 1995 to 2009 and Seattle from 2009 to 2021, leading teams at design agencies as well as Microsoft, Facebook, & Zillow in Seattle. The corporate scene for her left a physical, mental & spiritual deficit, eventually leading her to the power of energy & sound healing. Her passion for the magic of these modalities led her to retire and start Buffalo Firefly which has been around for 6 years as of August. We moved in 2022 into a Healing Center in Richmond, VA that she renovated and built into a thriving community - We are now also in Greenpoint, Brooklyn and are excited to host yhou in our new space! She's giddy to be back in her old stomping grounds in Brooklyn and to share her gifts with you.
