Arcana Cordis — Latin for "Secrets of the Heart" — is a brand-new oracle deck by multi-disciplinary artist Chase Voorhees, creator of the Tarot of the Holy Spectrum.
It is an oracle deck offering the seeker an opportunity to delve into the depths of the soul: to pose questions of the innermost heart, and to receive answers — however cryptic — as sacred invitations into one's own truth.
How to work with the deck
Hold the deck against your heart. Breathe. Arrive with a question, or simply with openness, and let the inquiry settle into your body before you draw. The language of Arcana Cordis is poetic and sometimes enigmatic, designed to be felt before it is understood. Sit with what surfaces — your response to the card is the reading. There is no wrong way to use this deck. These cards belong to you. Trust yourself. Trust your heart.
About the art
The artwork was made in layers — painting digitally and physically, then compositing the results together, texture upon texture. The technique was not predetermined; it was arrived at slowly, through experimentation, until the images began to feel like themselves. The accompanying text was written by Chase Voorhees over the course of the deck's creation, drawn from lived experience. No AI was used in the creation of this deck.
Each card pairs evocative black-and-white imagery with a short, poetic phrase. The deck is finished with luminous gold-gilded edges and a black, heart-patterned card back, and arrives in a matte black magnetic-flap box embossed with hearts and finished in gold foil.
Please note: As with the Tarot of the Holy Spectrum, this oracle deck is designed to be intuitive — there is no wrong way to read it. Let your own heart be the guide.
