Therapeutic Qualities: Patchouli Essential Oil has a sacred scent and quality. It is comforting yet stimulating; a grounding aid for creativity and sensuality and a wonderful component in love and passion oils.

Magikal Qualities: It is balancing, grounding and helps with manifestation of earthly matters, such as finalizing deals, making a decision and mastering your own will.

History/Lore: During the 18th and 19th century silk traders from China traveling to the Middle East packed their silk with dried patchouli leaves to prevent moths from laying their eggs on the cloth. Additionally, Indian shawls and Indian ink were identified by the unique patchouli odor. In several Asian countries, such as Japan and Malaysia, Patchouli is also used as an antidote for venomous snakebites.

We recommend diluting all essential oils for skin application. Applying undiluted oils to the body can cause irritation and increase the risk of sensitization.
