Bowls for Nadine

How to use this page

Below are bowls that would go with your set. Tap the heart to save one, then send me your list from the bottom right. Listen with headphones. If you saw something else on the site that is not here, ask me about it.

Special pricing through Sept 30

The bowls marked Special price are ones I have on loan that are going back soon, so those are reduced through Sept 30. Buy one of them and it is 10% off. Buy two and they are 12% off. Buy three or more and they are 15% off. Bowls without that mark are at their usual price. Take two or more of the marked bowls, though, and any other bowl comes down 10% too, including ones that are not on this page. If there is something else you want, ask me.

How the pricing works

Any special pricing goes on an invoice from me, not the cart, so there is nothing to check out here. If something calls to you, just tell me.

Care & resources

Care documents, and the insurers other clients use.

What you already have

Two of your bowls are named a note too low. +45 is 55 cents below the next note up, so your 8" F+45 is really F#-55, and your 6" G#+45 is really A-55.

Your 6" B-50 is the same. You have it noted as almost C#. Fifty below B is fifty above A#. C# is nine semitones away.

Renamed, seven of your twelve are between -40 and -55: A, A#, C#, D, F# and G. That is B minor without B and E.

Grow your set

B and E

The two notes your set is missing. Everything here is between -40 and -55, where the rest of your set already lives. Four of these are labelled A#+45, which is the same rename as your own two +45 bowls: A#+45 is B-55. One to watch is the 6" B-50 Carnelian, which goes the other way. Its label reads (A#+50), so it will double your A# rather than give you a B.

Deeper octaves

The large ones, largest first. These are octaves below anything you own, so they go underneath your set rather than doubling it. Two of them rename the way your own bowls do: the 18" D#+40 is an E in your tuning, and the 16" G#+45 is an A. The 12" F#-50 carries both names on its label, F#-50 and F+50. Down there the cents matter far less than they do in the higher octaves, so listen and decide by ear.

The Grandfather Morph

The 7" A-40 Grandfather Morph you were looking at is here. At -40 it lands where the rest of your set already lives. The 16" G#+45 SuperGrade is here too, because that is A-55, the same rename as your own 6" G#+45. It is a large one, and down there the cents matter less, so listen and decide by ear.

SuperGrades

The large ones. They anchor a set from underneath, and most of these are outside your tuning, so they are here for size rather than for the note. Down there the cents matter far less than they do in the higher octaves, so listen and decide by ear.

Minis, tuning forks and pyramids

Small and easy to travel with. The doubles are binaural, meaning two bowls in one, tuned close together so they beat gently against each other. Pyramids and forks are their own instruments, so their tuning does not have to match your set.
