Bowls for Frederig Warren Lecart

How to use this page

This page is two things. It is the record of the bowls you already own, with the description and SKU for each one. It is also where I keep the bowls that would go with them, so you can see what is possible whenever you want to look. What is here may not be every bowl we have that could go with your set. It is a starting point for inspiration.

Tap any of your bowls for its full description and its SKU, which is what you use to insure it.

If there are bowls you have that are not here, tell me and I will add them. Pictures of the labels are the best way to send them. It makes what I recommend for you a lot better.

Below are bowls that would go with your set. Tap the heart to save one, then send me your list from the bottom right. Listen with headphones. If you saw something else on the site that is not here, ask me about it.

Special pricing

The bowls marked Special price are ones I have on loan that are going back soon, so those are reduced. Buy one of them and it is 10% off. Buy two and they are 12% off. Buy three or more and they are 15% off. Bowls without that mark are at their usual price. Take two or more of the marked bowls, though, and any other bowl comes down 10% too, including ones that are not on this page. If there is something else you want, ask me.

How the pricing works

Any special pricing goes on an invoice from me, not the cart, so there is nothing to check out here. If something calls to you, just tell me.

What is already in your set

This is worked out from the two bowls above, which are the ones I have a record of. If you play others, tell me what they are and I will redo it around your whole set.

Two bowls, both +40 cents: 7 inch G+40 in the 4th octave and 10 inch A#+40 in the 3rd octave. Everything on this page is +20 to +60 cents, which keeps a third bowl within 20 cents of them.

G to A# is a minor 3rd. Two notes is an interval, and there are exactly two notes that turn it into a chord.

D gives you G minor (G, A#, D). D# gives you D# major (D#, G, A#). Those are the two, and they are below.

Grow your set

The two notes that make a chord

D gives you G minor. D# gives you D# major. Nothing else you could add to these two bowls makes one.

D, 4th octave

Gives you G minor (G, A#, D).

D#, 4th octave

Gives you D# major (D#, G, A#).

Other octaves of the notes you play

Your own notes, higher or lower. These add no new chord.

G, 3rd octave

Your own note, in another octave.

A#, 4th octave

Your own note, in another octave.

Minis, tuning forks and pyramids

All of them, whatever the note. These are played by hand on their own rather than alongside your bowls, so they are here for you to know they exist. Judge them by ear.

Tap the heart on any bowl to save it, then send me your list by text or email.
