Bowls for Wikki Chuchai

How to use this page

This page is two things. It is the record of the bowls you already own, with the description and SKU for each one. It is also where I keep the bowls that would go with them, so you can see what is possible whenever you want to look. What is here may not be every bowl we have that could go with your set. It is a starting point for inspiration.

Tap any of your bowls for its full description and its SKU, which is what you use to insure it.

If there are bowls you have that are not here, tell me and I will add them. Pictures of the labels are the best way to send them. It makes what I recommend for you a lot better.

Below are bowls that would go with your set. Tap the heart to save one, then send me your list from the bottom right. Listen with headphones. If you saw something else on the site that is not here, ask me about it.

Special pricing

The bowls marked 10% off are 10% off. The bowls marked Special price are ones I can also bring down, so tell me which ones catch you and I will send you a number. Everything else on this page is at its usual price.

How the pricing works

Any special pricing goes on an invoice from me, not the cart, so there is nothing to check out here. If something calls to you, just tell me.

Care & resources

Care documents, and the insurers other clients use.

What you already have

Five bowls: A# in the 3rd octave, and C#, E, F# and G# in the 4th.

You already have two chords: F# major (F#, A#, C#) and C# minor (C#, E, G#).

  • B gives you E major (E, G#, B) and C# minor 7 (C#, E, G#, B). It also closes C# minor pentatonic (C#, E, F#, G#, B), which is the same five notes as E major pentatonic.
  • D# gives you D# minor (D#, F#, A#). It also closes F# major pentatonic (F#, G#, A#, C#, D#).
  • A gives you F# minor (F#, A, C#) and A major (A, C#, E).

Your tuning is -30 to -15. You could either go to -35 or to -10 to stay within 20 cents.

Grow your set

Chimes and shakers

Wind chimes and seed shakers to play alongside your bowls. These are all in the New York studio, and they are at their usual price.

Octaves

You can add a deeper E note or a higher A# note to what you already have.

B

B gives you E major (E, G#, B) and C# minor 7 (C#, E, G#, B), and it closes C# minor pentatonic (C#, E, F#, G#, B).

A

A gives you F# minor (F#, A, C#) and A major (A, C#, E).

D#

D# gives you D# minor (D#, F#, A#), and it closes F# major pentatonic (F#, G#, A#, C#, D#). You had an 8" D#0 in your cart. These are the same note closer to your own tuning. A couple of them are much deeper, and down there the cents matter less, so listen and decide by ear.

Adding D# gives you 2 chords you cannot play today: D# minor (D#, F#, A#) and D# minor 7 (D#, F#, A#, C#). It also gives you a new five-note scale to play through, F# major pentatonic (F#, G#, A#, C#, D#).

Practitioner bowls

Held in the hand and played on their own. You already have one, your 7 inch F#-15 Platinum Practitioner.

SuperGrades

The large, deep bowls. They anchor a set from underneath. Down there the cents matter far less than they do in the higher octaves, so listen and decide by ear.

Minis, tuning forks and pyramids

Small and easy to travel with. The doubles are binaural, meaning two bowls in one, tuned close together so they beat gently against each other. Pyramids and forks are their own instruments, so their tuning does not have to match your set.
